Very Nice! I do like the wider band. I may try it both ways . . . with the straps on the sides (like you have it), and the straps on the front and back (the way it is in the original). Both have their pluses.

I like your variation – I think the wider band gives it a nicer shape. IKEA fabric is always a winner too.

I agree with Baobab, best var. so far. I am going to make this bag soon, printed the patten on Thursday and was also considering making the top band go all the way to the top but I will keep the handles as they are. Nice job!
