This is a compination of two of my most used burda magazine patterns. Model 101 from 02/2011 for the bodice and model 107 from 11/2007 for the skirt. I finished the neckline and the armholes with black satin decorative bias binding. I also topstiched by hand the neckline, the armholes and the pleats. I like the dress very much as it is very cute and versatile!:)

Your dress is really lovely and I really like your changes to the pattern 101/2011. I made this dress a year or so ago, following the pattern instructions and was very happy with it. But during the winter as it hung in my cupboard, the weight of the skirt pulled the bodice out of shape and I have completely unpicked it and about to remake it. Seeing your dress, I now have new ideas as to how I will do it, so thank-you for the inspiration.

Thank you for your kind comments. I have made this bodice with 4 different skirts: slim tulip, tulip with more volume, pleated and pencil. I think that the pleated skirt is the more flattering and easy to wear. So try it! We wait to see the result!

Thanks so much. I have a copy of 11/2007, so it shouldn’t take me too long. I am going to add interfacing to the neck edge as well as the piping, to give it more body.
