Wool cape I made last winter. The hood is lined with jersey, and the “holes for the arm” (any idea about the real technical word?) are trimmed with the same jersey.
It’s not as warm as a real coat (too many places for fresh air to come inside !) so I wear it over a little grey jacket that I have, and it’s perfect for rainy day.

yup, got the numbers but still got in a knot! I made two hoods (one as a lining) and both turned out different! I think I am a complete muppet but one of them is right, I just have to unpick the other! (again!) Ha! =)

I really love the materials you used… trying to make it myself but the hood is TERRIBLE! I think I have unpicked it about 10 times and still not sure its right!! hahahah!! Have you any tips? Thanks! =)

Thanks! I was worried about the hood too, but then I realised the Burda marks were very useful. Look carefully at the pattern and indications. The numbers match. If I remember correctly, there’s a central band of fabric, and two similar bands at each side. I hope my words are clear! Good luck!

I used the pattern from the Burda magazine, I only have the paper version, I don’t have it on my computer

This looks very warm and cosy, ideal as an overjacket for extra warmth.
