A long jacket with short sleeves. I used a pattern for a dress form burda fashion 08/08, dress 111. I added the collar, changed the sleeve, added a belt. Snap buttons through out. The twill I used is very thick, so I had a really hard time hammering the buttons in! I wish its softer so that it conforms to my body better. Oh well! I like how it looks from the back.
thick twill, black shiny snap buttons

This is so cute! I really like the combination of shirtdress and jacket details— it makes me want to revisit the original pattern. You did a great job!

I get what you mean about wishing it were a lighter fabric, but I like the construct of this one… makes it look uniform-eque. I’d probably wear it as a dress and make one in the lighter fabric to wear as a jacket. Love your belt.

You can wear something like this like a jacket, or a DRESS I like this model very much! Well done!

I like this! With the belt it looks so differently, I have to keep this in my mind.
