Description

The moment I saw the pattern I was in love with it – Vogue 8615 and I bought this fabric especially for it.

I had some difficulties with the sleeves e.g. they wouldn’t fit try as I might. In the end I ended up gathering them a little and I was happy and quite surprised by the final outcome.

I’ve worn it to work a few times and everyone loves it. It’s a very slimming dress (I have quite a tummy so need that) and everyone kept asking me if I’d lost weight. :-)

It’s fully lined which is a trick I’ve learned if you want to hide your love-handles Lol.

Material Notes

Suiting Fabric (based on cotton, but is a little chunkier and flowy)
Anti-static lining

Intermediate

I like the fabric you used, it’s casual and can be worn more, love the big chunky belt!!

I made this exact dress, it’s in my studio. I made it out of a flocked dark brown taffeta. Seems we have the same good taste in pattern choices ;-).

Oh yeah. I love yours! Your fabric is much more dramatic and does justice to the dress. I must try with a bolder fabric and see if I get the same result. :-)
