I had an idea of what I wanted and then constructed it on my dress making doll.
I made a little belt, where I used a ….layering technique? I am not sure of the technical term, but I layered strips of the satin to make diamond like shapes.
I really loved the colour of this green satin and would eye it off every time I visited my favourite fabric store. I waited until I had the right dress in mind for the fabric. …… you know how it is.
The black fabric is a pure silk.
