This is my most recent version of one of my favorite patterns, Mccalls 4826. I finally finished it exactly how I wanted it, being able to attach the top of the halter to the midriff and lining in one seam. I sandwiched the halter top in between the two midriff pieces, and stitched only to the side seams on both sides. Then, from side seams to zipper, I sewed the lining and the dress separately, allowing me to turn it under and attach the lining to the zipper tape from the inside. I am very pleased with how this came out.
Medium weight cotton blend with a slight stretch, gauzy cotton lining.

Really beautiful dress. You have inspired me to have a look out for the pattern and give it a go. Really liked your orange and lace variation as well.

You did a beautiful job on this dress! I want to try to make it, so thanks for including the pattern number. Those of us with larger busts have trouble with summer dresses—unless they are halter style, there is no support. Thin straps are no good, as bra straps show, which I really dislike, even though it was in fashion for a while. Anyway, you chose a beautiful fabric and pattern for the perfect summer dress. Congratuations!

Thank you. I really like this pattern. It’s worth looking for. It’s discontinued but it’s worth looking for. The gathers on the bust and skirt make it easy to adjust.
