Made from Simplicity’s Thread pattern 2591 with printed shell buttons from La Mode. The fabric is a linen look a-like from Joann’s. Easy pattern, but the armhole facing was a bit tricky, I recommend just taking an armhole facing from another pattern than doing a strip of rectangular bias as they instruct.
Linen-Look Alike (less wrinkles!), shell buttons, and polyester zipper.

I have a pet peeve when it comes to homemade skirts and dresses: how wide the hem should be. So often I see them really tiny and they stick out like a sore thumb which screams homemade! The first thing I noticed about this dress is the nice, wide hem at the bottom. Makes the skirt hang much better and more evenly. I really like the pockets, too :)
Btw I featured this dress on my blog :)

This is really lovely Darl! So fresh and green for spring – love the waist detailing and the pockets too! Some times bias can be a real pain in the butt – so good on you for finding an alternative solution!
