I made this dress with a fabric my boyfriend brought me back from India. I believe it was patchwork fabric, but the colour is fantastic!
I used the same pattern as for this dress (from Burda Easy S/S 2009)
It’s easy once you’ve figured how to make the pleats, and the fitting is quite good (not perfect at the waist, but with the belt it’s ok… And it is nice sometimes to make a dress and not spend half a day adjusting it!)
I really wanted to wear it with these coral shoes I had, so I took them to the fabric shop and found the right fabric for the belt!
I can also use the black belt from the other dress and wear it with black or green shoes.
I wonder if I could wear it with red belt and red shoes… I’m afraid I’m going to look like a christmas tree!
Take a trip down the aisle in these gorgeous gowns, or change the fabrics for a spring party dress.
