I used the JJ blouse pattern for this, making a bunch of changes mostly based around the fact that I had less than a yard of fabric to work with. I made the body shorter, completely made up the sleeves, and left out the ruffles, but then added pintucks. I didn’t make it for my sister specifically, but it fit her the best so I gave it to her.
Fabric: 100% cotton flannel... Notions: thread, penny buttons

this looks so not homemade – and I mean that as a compliment …its sort of anthropology-esq. Choice of fabric suits your changes to the style perfectly, color and buttons compliment each other really well, and those sleeves are cute.
