Description

This pattern is one of my favourites. I have used this bodice many times compined with different types of skirts. The funny thing is that none of the versions I’ve made has a gathered skirt as the pattern suggests:)
For this one I used the skirt of model 125 from 11/2007. I didn’t line the bodice but I finished the armholes and the neckline with bias binding. I prefer to do this because this way I reduce the gaping at the openings. What do you think?

Only can agree with everybody that the colour is yours absolutely! Generally, all the set of the pictures is very nice, very romantic view that helps to create your image a lot!

Ah…the mint dress! It’s really, really nice! Good color for you too. Do you use purchased bias binding or make your own?

On no, this is not the mint dress! The mint dress is still under construction. I made my own bias binding, with the same fabric I used for the dress.

Oh, not the mint dress!! Ha ha ha! You have so many projects going at once, like me. I was in such a sewing frenzy this past weekend I completely forgot to have my husband photograph the Danielle! (But I did finish 3 summer dresses!)

This dress really inspires me. Simple but stunning in that shade of green. I can see why you like the bodice so much. I can see a bodice like this looking good on both my daughter and myself with just a few modifications in the skirt. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for your comments. It’s very encouraging to read comments from people with the same passion for sewing. And yes this bodice is incredible: versatile, very easy to sew and flattering for many body types.
