Burda Style For people who sew
Description
Short fitted skirt with back zipper and button closure. Made from New Look pattern 6843. Front and back darts, narrow waistband… This is the first really fitted piece I’ve made, and while the fit is actually great, there’s a few ‘homemade’ type things about it. It’s not as snug beneath the butt as I’d like, but that’s probably more my shape than the cut. The skirt comes together beautifully, and is finished much nicer than anything else I’ve made. Overall a success, and will likely try another one in a longer, more snug pencil cut included with the pattern. Especially since it took no more than an hour.
