Speaking of buttons and buttonholes – I’ve never sewn buttons/holes in a row! Only one at a time (such as for the fly on a pair of pants). There’s a great button tutorial that I really recommend – buttons are much more fun to sew this way: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxkpXh-Gby8

very cute! The pockets and buttons are a great improvement. The green corduroy is awesome :-)

What a cute skirt! Love the buttons and the pockets!
I LOVE the colour – most winter clothes are such boring greys and blacks, so it’s nice to see such gorgeous colour!

The skirt is lovely…and you look wonderful wearing it. I like your added details of the pockets and the buttons down the front. I do not know the thickness of the corduroy you used, but I think it looks just fine. I’m envisioning that you used a “feather-cord” or “baby-wale” weight. I personally wouldn’t change a thing!

thanks! it’s 14 wale cord and slightly heaver than feather or baby. now i just need some tights to go with it so i don’t freeze this new england winter!
glad you like the color combo… if i’m not using bold patterns i tend toward bold colors!
