Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I like this pattern and after having finished my pink&red dress I did this one. Much work with the fitting bust part, and much more with the down part-pencil skirt. Fortunately my grandmather taught me how to draft a pattern on the fabric according to my size. Little of maths and counting-I like it-and voila! The most difficult was connecting the two parts. Zipper at the back, straps.

you’ve done an excellent job on this! I could use some lessons from your grandmother too :-) The dress looks fantastic on you and I love it just the way it is- I can see a lot of other possibilities for it too- evening length with a fishtail skirt would be really dramatic or a long split skirt… a bit of rouching across the bodice maybe- I tend to play around a bit with patterns that work and make a few variations on a theme.
