My daughter is now 2 months old and in a good pattern of sleeping during the day, so I can sew again – yay! We went to a wedding yesterday and I quickly made this green dress I had seen and liked in the Burda Feb 09 magazine. I like the unusual drop gathered sleeves. I was hemming the dress 15 mins before we were due to leave…always a last minute rush :-)
Green jersey I bought at Walmart when I visited the states 5 years ago. At the time you didn't get much stretch fabric in South African fabric shops.
Burda Feb 09 Dress 119, I made it more A line at the bottom and not so figure hugging – still have weight to lose!!

Hello fabricaddict, welcome back. Congratulations on your new family member! I have to notice: you look gorgeous as always – only 2 months after delivery!
The dress is really cute, and I like it in mono more than in print fabric.

You made a beautiful dress. I also used this pattern for a shirt and I think it is a great pattern. Love the color of your dress.
Congrats on your little daughter :-)
