Description

It’s a bird,
it’s a plane,
it’s a Batwing blast from the past!!

Made with some yummy cotton jersey ;o)
Truthfully this jersey is so nice, it deserves to be something a little more fashion forward and a little less frumpy than this top.

But it’s sooooo comfy and perfect for those days when you’re feeling less than svelte.

You can print it up and sew it up in no time. Except for centering that v-neck, that was a bitch and a half. But, the only bitch of the project. It made me so mad that I skipped hemming the bottom, but I’m going to do it eventually.

Thanks so much everyone!! I think for the first time making a v-neck it went as well as can be expected. It is a super comfy top to wear and I see at least one more in my future.

haha, I had a good giggle reading your accounts on making this top. V-necks are ‘bitches’! Sometimes I will short-cut this process and just add a very narrow scoop neckband and topstitch the neckline so that it sits flat. Your perseverance paid off, the fabric looks very comfy, love it!

Lovely! I have no patience when things aren’t going to plan either. I have a batwing top which is completely un-edged, but I wear it anyway!!! Yours looks fabulous, xx

that doesn’t look frumpy at all!!! especially not in that great green color. oh and now y’all got me scared to even try a v neck. i’ve done bias binding to a v neck which was about only a quarter of a bitch, but haven’t tried centering a rib collar yet.

Looking very good. I do indeed hate centering V necks.
