My first ever proper sewing project. It took me about 7 hours on and off. The bag band is wonky on one side so doesn’t match up with the other side. I also sewed the handles on completely wrong and only realised after I’d finished the whole thing…certainly a mistake I won’t be making again. My seams are all wonky and the pleats less than perfect. However, I wouldn’t change it for the world! Not bad for my 2nd time using a sewing machine.
Main material is an old duvet cover. The handles, bag band and lining is a thin brown corduroy.

Oh, would that my first project had turned out so nice!! My first project wound up as a dust rag. I think it’s gorgeous and shhhh! Don’t tell anyone about the errors. You MEANT to do that so the bag would have character!
