This pattern is McCalls 6503, view D – which has the front button band and pleated skirt. I didn’t add sleeves to this version. I used gray cotton for the midriff, collar, front band and bottom third of the skirt. White for the rest. I underlined the bodice and fully lined the skirt.
I used a regular zipper in the side as the pattern calls for, but if you make this, I recommend an invisible zipper for a neater look. This dress is currently a pullover dress, but it can be easily made into a “step into” dress if you have the zipper begin at the top of the side seam instead.
