Handsewing.. argh! I’ve got to work on it. I love the whole aesthetic behind Alabama Chanin’s work. This is my attempt. The gray jersey is new, but the blue is recycled. I used a dress pattern I had to help me make the pattern pieces for the tee, mainly to place the princess seams. This is the first time I tried my hand at any kind of embroidery or reverse applique— I read about it on Alabama Chanin’s blog. I really enjoyed making this. There is something very relaxing about sitting back and sewing only with needle and thread — not using a machine.
