This is the first wearable item that I have made for myself. I’ve sewn many things for other people – now it will be about me for the next few projects. I made adjustedments to the pattern. I adjusted the seams because the 5/8" seam allowance made the skirt fit to close. I restitched the side seams using my serger and the fit isbetter. I used my dress form for the first time to mark the hem and I am pleased with the outcome.
One yard of gray fabric from my scrap pieces, thread, 7 inch zipper, and hook and eye. Pattern McCall’s 3341.
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
