It’s an interesting story…A friend of mine wanted a nice piratey coat to wear to the Renaissance Faire. He got the fabric and the pattern, though it’s technically not a period pattern, and got right to work. Unfortunately, he has a hard time with patterns, and gave up on the project. I decided to be a good friend and finish it. Well…he got a pattern too small for him, so I had to cross my fingers and enlarge everything, deal with the strange pattern myself, and beat myself up trying to do the cuffs. It’s still devoid of decoration, but at least it’s finally done!! Though, if I had to do this again, I would definitely make the cuffs smaller. They are rather large!
