burda pattern for ‘pearl dress’ from april 2013 (mod 109)
changed with the help of japanese ‘pattern magic’
into this knot dress
i do not own japanese sewing book
but i’ve seen a diagram for this dress on several blogs
and decided to give it a try
burda pattern used as my sloper
cause my sloper is different than one in a book
it resulted in different silhouette
what i like about these japanese designs
is that they teach you how to achieve a certain look
but it’s up to you how you are going to use it
so you have more freedom than when you’re working with regular patterns
and you actually learn a lot while you draft the pattern
see more pics on my blog mokosha
have no idea what this fabric is, some sort of blends.. and highly flammable one too.. but it has some nice sheen to it
