Your looks great! I just made one from the same pattern, and I found that if you wear the straps wider (more like cap sleeves) then it helps a bit with the sagging- that and stay tape so there’s something solid holding up all that fabric- but mine still tries to sag a bit. What did you do to get the front part to stay up so well?

I tried to stitch-in-the-ditch in addition to the directions. But frankly…I think it just photographs well :-) It does stay up MUCH better in the front than the back, but I haven’t figured out why yet. If I ever try to make another one, maybe I can test out some theories.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this dress and the pattern number. I’ve been wanting to make a top with this sort of gathering in the front. LOVE THIS!!!

I agree this is so lovely. I have a bunch of light jersey that I need a pattern for. The gathering is so flattering on you and looks like a versatile dress you can dress up or down. Lovely.

Ooo I’ve been looking for a pattern exactly like this. Was it hard to make?

Making the pleats and such wasn’t too hard, but the fabric is heavy and can’t support itself. So it pulls down & you can see the facing in the front & back (if you look at the pic of the back that I posted, you may be able to see what I mean). I like it enough that I’m sure I’ll wear it all summer, but I wish I could fix that!
