Thank you! I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me to look at another pattern! I think I got stuck on the confusing instructions. lol. I’ll get this slit to lay flat if it kills me!
Both the top and the skirt look fabulous on you. Nicely done.

Did you have trouble with the slit in the front? I suck at spacial conception, and I’m having trouble figuring out the instructions.

I didn’t have trouble, but I have made lots of slits in skirts. If you have access to another skirt pattern with a slit, perhaps reading those instructions might help. If I remember, this slit is constructed just like most other slits that are often found in the back of a skirt. Sometimes different pattern companies present the directions slightly differently and it might help you figure out the part you are stuck on. Good luck!

So well done! As a matter of fact, you are today’s winner of the “It’s so sharp, I’d wear it, and I’m a guy!” award.
Yep, a simple skirt and blouse perfectly paired up turned my head and captured you some serious bragging rights.
Congratulations!

I love this outfit – it looks very smart and fits you beautifully!
I’m also really pleased btw to see that the top and skirt work so well; I was making this pattern’s jacket (still not done!) in Sherry’s RTW jacket sewalong and kept wondering what the rest of the pattern was like.
