Patter Magic Volume 1/ bow tie with long sleeves, hidden button strap, worn with a ‘stone-washed’ copy of US navy trousers made 2 years ago. The bow is a bit too long and drops over but I don’t mind. I just have to lean backward to keep it standing thus improving my overall posture. I sadly omitted darts on the sides, it is a bit too narrow (wearing a long sleeves tee-shirt underneath doesn’t help).
Darts are no laughing matter, gravity rules.

I love the way your shirt remind me of a very rough sketch of drawings by designers, sharp yet flowing lines on the drawings which are lost in the real garments often, but your shirt carries them with it. By the way I love your trousers too, you say you made them but how come denim is so fashionably faded? You say “stone-washed” does it mean you “stone-washed”them? If so, could you post a tip or how to for it? Many thanks!

This is straight up amazing!!!!!! Looks so cool, the concealed buttons are a nice additional detail that I could never be arsed to attempt. You take projects to the next level! xxx

I would really like to know how you made those pants they are just darling and might help my problem of never being able to find pants that fit.

Yes, you are back with projects! I’ve missed your projects. Your sense of style is phenomenal and I absolutely adore this blouse + pants combo. Pattern magic is much talked about, I think I need to get my hands on a copy soon!

Lovely choice of fabric and colour for a lovely shirt with a stunning twist!

A blouse with a twist – literally! All your creations are such a work of art. Nice to see your work again.

How is that bow IRL? Can you sport it to work or do you feel silly wearing it? Also, I think starching it could help it stay up :)
Oct 20, 2010, 09.51 AMby ghainskom
Love both the blouse and the trousers. I like how you changed the patternmagic pattern to make it a blouse. So dramatic! I thought the pants were a Ruby variation but Ruby doesn’t have that insert in the back and the front closure is different too. Please, keep uploading your creations!

Another masterpiece! I like how you made it look quite casual but with a twist. Also, it’s great that you’ve made it with front button closure rather than as a shift blouse (since all the variations I’ve seen were “just” copies of the original draft). The combination with the pants is perfect! I’ve gotta get my hands on that book, especially now that there’s an English version! You’re so inspiring… It’s soo good to see your works again (I’m a parrot, I know ;-))

Thank you Ana. I had a huge amount of unfinished creations from the time I started researching for my thesis, now I can finally finish them off and post them one by one. In the future, I would like to concentrate on one garment at a time…easier said than done!x

Yes, over the last two years, letting the lime scale of my washing machine doing the job ;)! I have been wearing them a lot. They used to be densely navy blue (I sported them with my blouse Post-Raphaelite, I had just made them at that time)
