Description

I loved my grandma’s lace tablecloth, so I decided to transfrom it into a batwing top. It’s basically a blouse, but with batwing sleeves, very big and comfortable to wear. The batwing top also looks good in chiffon.
I added a pocket in front, some decorative (sealife themed) buttons, a big collar and cuffs.
Here’s the pattern I used:

I made the top a little longer than the original pattern, about 15 cm longer!

Just beautiful! I love the loose, simple shape with the delicate fabric – it works particularly well on the sleeves, which hang beautifully. And cute buttons, too! It’s really a unique garment with personal value – well done!

Thank you! I actually used the buttons from an old blouse. I never managed to find buttons like that in the stores.
