This is my favorite coat its the prettiest colour of green although the pictures don’t do it any justice. It’s a very classic cut but it is the same pattern as my other coat mary jane but they have very different looks.

This coat looks so warm! I love the fabric of your lining just peeking out there.

Love that asymmetrical collar! The lining is a great choice, too. I love a fun lining :)
Btw, I featured your coat on my blog:

That is soooo cute… what does it look from behind? And also what did you do with the lining? Sometimes the lining can rip if there isn’t a little extra give of fabric- did you put anything extra in? I would love to make my own coat- thats why I am asking!!

from behind it has the similar seaming to the front. I have had the ripping problem as well when i have used traditional lining fabric in the past. Now when i sew i do tend to use fabrics with stretch in them especially on dresses but for this i used a satiny fabric with a little give in it i have no idea the proper name for the fabric hope that helps

This is gorgeous! The asymmetrical collar is great, and it’s really sweet to contrast the jacket with such cute lining. Great work!

This is a great looking coat, nicely finished – green is such a gorgeous colour – and the lining rocks (I love the contrast of the military style coat & buttons with the more feminine lining).

Beautiful coat! The lining showing on the outside of the collar made the jacket even more interesting!
