Description

I wanted to try a sewing from a pattern in the Gothic & Lolita Bible, a Japanese magazine. Since my Japanese skills aren’t brilliant, I started with something not too complicated. I replaced the elastic waist and cuffs with drawstrings and left out a layer of lace on the cuffs.

Material Notes

Cotton, lace, ribbon.

I didn’t think of using drawstrings on the bloomers-that’s more authentically Victorian, right?

It probably is, although I don’t know for sure. Unless they used buttons or something? I only made it a drawstring because I knew how to do that and forgot to buy elastic.
