My Halloween costume, made mostly from thrifted or refashioned materials. The skirt was done without a pattern, and I drafted the top pattern from a shirt I already owned. And no, this isn’t my real hair color.
skirt: polyester satin (from thrifted pants), chiffon (dark blue), sparkle organza (recycled from unsuccessful dress), glitter fabric paint (to seal edges of sheer fabric). Top: stretch nylon (from thrifted skirt). Purchased wings, my brother’s boots.

It was partially for a party I went to this past Saturday, and partially for a children’s Halloween concert I was participating in (though that was just the wings and skirt portion of it— I toned the rest of the outfit down since I was supposed to look a little more professional while being in costume.)
