This jacket is probably the most complex project I’ve done so far. Made it for my boyfriend a year ago. It’s completely waterproof. I sealed the seams with gore-tex tape. It has got a snow skirt, as I made it for snowboarding, fleece round the neck to keep him warm and special waterproof zips. The jacket has two pockets with zips and one inside pocket.
It took me ages to make, but it was the first time I was seam seeling the fabric. I made the pattern myself. Had few problems making it, but I’m very proud of the result and my boyfriend really likes it.
It was really hard to find gore-tex fabric, as you cannot buy it in UK, I had to order it from America.
Gore-tex, gore-tex tape, fleece, mesh fabric for the lining and lining fabric for the pockets.

Good job! I have made a few jackets like that myself. It’s not easy finding the supplies, designing a pattern, and then sewing the whole thing together.

wow I’m super impressed … and I need to know all about seam sealing! my waterproof trousers just gave up on me and being petite they’re a pain to get in the right size…now if i could make my own with sealed seams an all…..
