Golden simplicity 2444

Added Mar 23, 2013

by olaya1

Oviedo, Spain

This dress is based on Simplicity 2444. The fabric is a nice golden/mustard damask for curtains a little bit shiny. For the pattern, I needed to cut the bodice around 1,5cm and also 15 cm from the hem to make it shorter. No more adjustments were needed. It is a good pattern to work with.

Material Notes

Fabric for curtains in gold/mustard color, invisible zipper, rayon lining,

Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter
Garment Type
Classic, Evening Wear, Romantic, Vintage

It’ s a great dress, very romantic. I love this rich shade of yellow. And I much prefer this style of dresses with the skirt pleated instead of gathered.

I agree with you, the pleats are nice and I think dresses with pleats look more professional ;)
