Auckland, New Ze...
I went down to my local fabric shop in Mt Albert for a zip and just couldn’t resist this gold fabric. It also came in a silver version. The pattern in a Polynesian design, reminded me of Polynesian wedding dresses. So very Auckland! So I made this very simply shirt dress using a retro pattern – Butterick 5769. Think it must be from the 70’s.
Very synthetic fabric, wouldn’t try ironing it! Quite tricky to sew too.
