Wanted something to wear at formal party. Made a simple tie belt to go with this. Marie’s shape is very funny and I love it.
Gold shantung silk with velvet roses.

i bough a dress in a second hand shop made of a similar fabric (gold and black flowers with texture) as a prom dress, but it shrunk when i washed it, so i cut it a little and wear it as a top with skinny jeans.

Shantung silk is a medium weight silk fabric woven using nonconstant width yarn (such as spun silk, doupion) for its woof, originates in the Shantung Prov. of China. (according to my knowledge…) I got this fabric in Japan, but I could find some online as well. Hope you can fine one near you.
