Description

For this dress, I used pattern #111 C from Burda magazine 7/2010. The pattern was in petite sizing, which is perfect for me. I only had to make adjustments in the hip region for the dress.

I’m going to California to visit family and friends in a week, and I wanted to have a “summer worthy” dress (But yes, in case you were wondering, I was making a Zeppelin allusion in my title. ;)).

Originally, I was going to use one color for the whole dress, but I didn’t have enough of the aqua knit. So, I went through almost every color combination imaginable, and after hours of agonizing over my decision, I settled on a grey knit for the straps.

If you are interested in more information, and/or more pictures, please take a look over at my blog.

Thanks for looking!

I agree, your version of this dress blows the magazine’s away. The color and detailing and fit make this look absolutely stunning on you! Thanks for the info on the pattern and blog link – I’m just over 5 feet tall, and I’m always looking for patterns that work well for petite figures (extra points if it works well with a not-so-petite butt!)

I think that looks better on you than it did on the model in the magazine. Good make.

I noticed that dress on Burda last year but have not had time to make it ! Contrasting colours makes it even more beautifull ! Perfect fit ! Bravo.
