The fusion of card making and fashion sewing! This is a Note card that I have sewn using the Islander Sewing MyStyle Greetings. The little dress is made from scraps of left over fabrics. I used a gingham check taffeta fabric and black lace for the underskirt. Black ric-rac for the belt and a little pre-made bow with a pearl bead at the center.
Another idea would be to make shadow boxes using this idea. You could make the dress using fashion doll patterns as your template.

I had the same reaction as Chelsea. The thumbnail made me think “what a great dress” (I love gingham!), then I clicked on it and saw it was a card. How cute and clever!

Awe…thanks! These little note cards are so much fun to make, and addictive. Gingham is one of my favorites too, so it looks like I’m in good company.
Happy creating!!!

Oh my gosh. When I fist saw that, I was thinking how adorable it was, and how much I wanted to wear the dress! Then I looked closer and saw that it was just a miniature thing and my mind was utterly blown! There are pieces of my mind all over my computer. Amazing work!!
