In an attempt to go down fighting against the impending Autumn weather I am posting one of my most summery creations, a floaty maxi dress sourced from lightweight bedding material. I have loved wearing this dress, however the cooler temperatures teamed with the general style, colour and pattern of this dress means that this is inevitably going to be stored at the back of my wardrobe for the next several months until Mr Sunshine decides to show his face again.
This has gotten me thinking about how I really do need to make that transition between making summery garments and a more Autumn appropriate wardrobe, however I desperately do not want to compromise on my fabric choices – I simply love the busy, patterned fabrics.

Fantastic! I am going down fighting too. Love the print and the style and, hey, it will make a lovely indoor lounge dress with a winter white cardigan ;)
