I picked up this Liberty for Target top at a local Goodwill that gets unsold and overstock Target things (I KNOW!). Unfortunately, the top was 2 sizes too big, but the print is so pretty, I figured I would either take it in, or redo.
I ended up cutting the top off, right about the armholes. I measured around my chest, right above the bosom, and cut a 4 inch strip a few inches longer then the measurement. I made a lose stitch and ruched the hem, then attached the folded over strip, and a cute trim.
Then I found a coordinating (somewhat) remnant to make the straps.
If there’s anything I might change, it’s the buttons – I think they should be brighter and larger. I don’t want them to be too big, as this is intended to be sleepwear. All in all, I’m pretty happy though. This is my first clothing re-do!
I plan on making coordinating pajama bottoms or bloomers.
