This was my first vintage dress via Butterick 5368. I learned a little bit but had a blast sewing it!

I love the clasp at the front too – like the snakes hips, I have seen loads of this style of dress, but your version is very elegant and chic, great job!

I’ve seen a LOT of versions of the “walk away dress,” but the gray/black combo here might be my favorite. Do you have the weird shifting problems while wearing it?

Thanks so much! I really like the color combo as well!
Yes, i do have issues with fit movement. I really think a thicker fabric may fix it and hook and eyes at the sides to keep it together.
