I made Burdastyle’s “Girl’s Pleated Dress 11/2012 #152” in a cotton canvas, and lined the yoke/bodice with a cranberry cotton voile (from the Free Spirit Voiles, very very soft).
It went together pretty easily; it’s only 4 pattern pieces and a neckband. I just hemmed the bottom, and I didn’t construct it quite the way the (sometimes confusing) instructions wanted me to – instead, I added the yokes/bodices to the pleated skirt the way you would with a men’s shirt, and finished the shoulders the same way. Then I used a self bias tape to finish the armholes.
