Girl's handbag and matching skirt - heart detail

Added Aug 20, 2012

by Irina Schwab

Aylesbury, Unite...

I have used the same pattern as before for the bag (Sew magazine – Simplicity K2171), and the skirt is multi-pleated free style!

It is a present for a little girl and I believe it made her very happy!

I used 100% for both the main fabric (flower print) and the white lining.

I also adorned the items with felt, bias tape and ribbons (heart detail).

The petticoat is deliberately longer to create the contrast, however covered with the ribbons//lace.

Material Notes

100% cotton fabric, plain and print, ribbon, bias tape, metal eyelets, special device for insertion of eyelets, Vilene fusible interfacing, felt

Spring, Summer
