I picked up this blue/grey wool in a remnant bin and I had a lovely coat pattern that I wanted to make for my daughter. I looked for some velvet for the collar and pocket welts and couldn’t find anything I liked. Then I had a brain-wave and realised that I could use my favorite cardigan that I had worn through the elbows. I’m so pleased that she has such a pretty coat for £10 and my cardigan lives on.
