Description

This is a dress made from Jennie Chancey’s Girls’ 1780s Portrait Dress Pattern. I made a bodiced petticoat to go with the dress. http://sensibility.com/patterns/girls-1780s-portrait-dress-pattern/
I have learned how to use a lucet, so I made the drawstrings for the dress and the petticoat. It’s wonderful to finally have drawstrings that match the projects I am working on. I used both cotton and linen string to make the drawstrings.

Material Notes

Made out of Swiss dot cotton voile fabric. The bodiced petticoat is made from linen.
