Description

A tablecloth for my tiny – 35 inch – kitchen table. I cut a 36 inch diameter circle from the gingham and a plain backing fabric for the main table top section. The “skirt” was made from an 8 inch wide bias cut strip of fabric (actually 3 strips sewn together with flat felled seams) and pinned to the main section with pleats. The skirt was sewn in place inside out, turned the right way, the gap sewn up by hand and the edges hemmed.

Material Notes

1 inch check pale blue gingham.
