I made this dress after being inspired by two Modcloth dresses: http://www.modcloth.com/Womens/Dresses/-Patio-Picnic-Dress and http://www.modcloth.com/Womens/-Frock-of-Love-Dress-in-Kareena
I used a seersucker gingham and Simplicity 4070. I put a side zipper in to avoid the zipper showing in the back but unfortunately I chose to ignore the knowledge that side zippers on a-line dresses come out lumpy…ah well. I still like the dress, especially with a belt.
The lines of Greek architecture inspire this neutral and pastel collection.
