Ghastly family bag

Added May 30, 2013

Aix En Provence,...

I used a bag pattern that I created for Sacotin : “Annie” which is a small bag (10" by 10") with a contrasting yoke and a recessed zipper.

I really wanted to use the Ghastly family print with it, feeling that the small size of the bag and the curves of the upper edge would go well with the print. But the print wouldn’t fit on the main panel. So I made a little adjustment, cutting the yoke and main panel as one. I also omitted the zippered pocket at the back of the bag to preserve the print.
I really love the recessed zipper on this bag which is invisible form the outside.

It’s originally pink, it’s a vintage toy sewing machine and it works ! Although I wouldn’t really use it.
