My new coat made from the Butterick 5824 pattern by Gretchen Hirsch! Not including the muslins I did, I made it in about 2.5 days because I was bored, needed a warm coat, and I’m apparently a one woman sweat shop. This was my first ever coat, and I also did bound buttonholes for the first time and added an interior pocket. I also interlined it because I felt like the coat fabric wasn’t heavy enough. I basted the Thermolam to the skirt lining pieces and quilted the bodice lining with it. This was also my first time quilting anything.
Did I mention that I’ve been sewing for not quite three months? :D
More details at my blog: http://young-broke-and-fabulous.blogspot.com/search/label/butterick%205824
The shell fabric is a rayon poly blend, the lining a poly charmeuse, and it’s interlined with Thermolam.
