It’s the Gertie dress modified with a higher waistline for my maternity belly needs. Doink.
Hm, if you’re pregnant and you want to do this, take your pregnant bust size and cut the dress to size accordingly, then measure under your bust instead of around your (now massive) waistline, and make the belt go directly under the bust instead, empire style. Simple as that. I’m sure someone has to have thought of this before and made it more nicely than I did. XD
I didn’t have enough material to make the dress, since I was using rest-scraps I bought on the cheap. They were cheap because the print was damaged in areas, so I had to cut around damage print. Hence, the skirt is not as wide as it should be (less folding) and the collar and waistband are in black. Which is ok, I think the pattern would be a little overwhelming without the black to break it up in places.
Sweet dresses, an outfit for a doll, and cute embellishments are fun for the holidays!
