This is the third dress I made, presumably for a medieval-themed party which I only recently found out I would be unable to attend. It was quite unintentional for the dress to be finished in A) German national flag colours and B) at the same time as the European soccer championships. But, that’s how it happened, so it’s now my “Patriotic German” dress. XD
velvet, silky curtain material, light gauzy polyester stuff from ikea, satin ribbon, buckle-button-thingies, lots of interfacing, elastic
Straight up burda pattern. Well, except for the button hook things for the string on the vest, which I couldn’t find, so I did my own version in metal instead of cloth.
Also – I was too lazy to take a picture of this dress when I finished and ironed out the veil. But it is completely finished by now.
