This is the third time I have used this pattern (Simplicity 2444). I altered the pattern of the bodice because the bodice gaped slightly.
Sorry forgot to press the skirt and I wore it on a big night out so usually the pleats are nicer.
I underlined the bodice and also completely lined the bodice and the sleeves.
It’s a slightly crazy dress, but it made me think of Enid in the movie Ghost World and she is kind of my style icon.

The bright bodice is a fabric I salvaged from a dress that was not flattering on me. I loved the triangle pattern on the fabric but It’s a really lightweight voile so I had to underline it with a bleached calico to give it stability. The sleeves are black broadcloth. Skirt is made from a nice medium weight cotton poplin.
Facings were omitted and I lined the sleeves and bodice with a lightweight cotton voile instead.
