I bought this geisha-print fabric in Japan last year – I loved the fabric in Japan, and if I ever go back there I’ll buy lots more!
This was actually made last year, but the colour doesn’t photograph well indoors and it hasn’t been warm enough since I joined burdastyle to wear this, but today was an early bit of summer so I was able to photograph it. Taking the photos was fun, I decided to go down to the river below my place, but I hadn’t counted on quite how muddy and slippery it would be.
it was made using new look pattern 6902, bodice h, the skirt length is in between the two options in the pattern weren’t right for this fabric – too short or too long, and this needed something in between so that the focus would be on the geishas.
